I recently began researching products that can be used to learn to play the guitar at home.  Although I still feel that a live, experienced instructor is the ideal, many people do not have the time or money to commit to such a rigid one-on-one lesson plan.  Instead, people in this situation can turn to lessons taught on DVDs.  The learn and master guitar reviews that I read seem to hold this program to a high standard.  It may be a bit pricey, but you can tell that they put a lot of thought, time, energy, and work into this program, and you get a lot for the money you pay.
