What Is A Living Will Directive

A living will directive states that a physician may not use life-sustaining treatments on a person who has issued the directive. This is because that person may want to die naturally instead of being kept alive via medical equipment. Filling out a living will directive will make it illegal for a physician to artificially sustain someone’s life. People who have filled one out do so in order for them to not be sustained by medical equipment, possibly as a vegetable.
