My sister is selling a timeshare. She told me that it is the best timeshare she has which is why she told me first before she displays it in the internet. I am sure that a lot of people will buy her timeshare. I need to check it out before someone buys it from her. My mother told me that it is a one night stay in the best hotel in our place. My husband and I can use it during our wedding anniversary next month. It will surely save us a lot of money. We have plans of staying in a nice hotel, but I am hesitant because of the price.

With the economy the way it is, I was leery to take a vacation but I have been saving for the past two years and I deserve to treat myself, regardless if the economy is bad I deserve to get away from things. I have had my heart set on going overseas and now that I can afford it, that is exactly what I am going to do. I have heard lots of people I know rave about the tourism in Ireland so I decided that is what I will go and spend my week of vacation. It will be nice to get away from everything.

For many years in the past, people thought that a vacation get away to Hawaii was out of the question for them. But for a little while now, the costs for both flights to the Aloha State, as well as room reservations, have been lowered quite a bit. When my family was on vacation last month, we got the chance to go out on a boat and see some of the sights. My Dad and I are traveling to Northern Africa at the end of the month on a safari expedition. While he’s the sports game hunter, I’m more of a photographer. We’re about as different as night and day, but this trip should hopefully give us some common ground. I just refuse to take any pictures of dead animals with him holding up the animal head proudly.  I hope to take some shots worthy of publication in various magazines. The worst case scenario, I have some lovely shots to print, frame and give as gifts.

When my sister and I decided to get away for a few days, we had no idea where to go. We decided to just get a cabin in the mountains for the weekend. We have some friends that go to San Jose every year.  They always rent a fishing boat and go out to catch their dinner every night.  They usually stay in a costa rica apartment hotel and always are pleased with the service.  They often book the same place a year in advance to make sure that they have it available for when they go down the following year.  I have seen magnificent pictures of the place they stay as well as the general area.  Makes everyone want to go down there on their next vacation.  Maybe someday I will be able to afford to get there myself.

I’ve been through a number of career shifts.  In college, I wanted to go into politics.  I volunteered for a political campaign and talked up a jowled ex-basketball player, though my heart wasn’t really in it.  Evenings in our campaign flophouse were a complete circus of debauchery and poor self-care.  Peanut butter and jelly for all meals, anyone?  After college, I began teaching, and got my rear handed to me on a platter for two years until I got the hang of discipline in a crazy urban school and became a smooth success in years three through six.  After six years, however, I grew complacent, then restless. I began to search the web for tefl information, thinking that teaching adults English abroad would spice up my humdrum life.  I went to Costa Rica and got my TEFL certification in an intensive but fantastic program.  I moved to Korea and began teaching.  Three months into it, however, I landed a sweet travel writing job, and that’s my gig now!

It sounds terribly cheesy but after watching the latest series of Benidorm on telly, I’ve decided that I absolutely must visit. So after the last episode, I pulled out the laptop and starting doing my research. It turns out I can make a surprising affordable holiday out of it. Now I’m just trying to convince a few friends that it’s a great idea. But really… sun, sand and the sea? It pretty much talks for itself. I’ve found some great deals on flights and Benidorm hotels are well within budget. I can’t wait to watch the show when I return and be able to say ‘I’ve been there!’
