What Is The Best Rest Period Between Sets?
It’s a question all weight lifters would like to know, how much rest should I use in between sets of my weight lifting routines? The answer is simple, the less the better. Most bodybuilders rest 30 seconds or less between sets, but what happens if you don’t rest at all? According to a study, a no rest period bodybuilding routine produced greater increase in GJ, testosterone, adrenaline, and lactate that led to larger increase in strength and muscle mass. However, it’s important that weight lifters be careful of performing limited rest periods. Although it can produce better results, it increases the risk of using improper lifting techniques which can cause serious injuries.
