Rice Cooker Envy
Jealousy is a petty emotion best reserved for playground squabbles and similar childish concerns. Grown ups are supposed to be above such immature behaviour. As it is, I’m currently writhing with envy over a rice cooker my friend owns. Because it’s not mine, therefore, to my immature eyes, that makes it the best rice cooker in the world. My husband tells me I get by just fine making rice pilafs and puddings in the oven, and we don’t even eat plain rice on a regular basis anyway. I guess that means I’m not very mature, although you must admit it’s mature of me to admit to my immaturity.
