Popular gold eagle coins
The gold eagle bullion coin has seen quite a sharp rise in sales over the past few months. I think it is because people are starting to wake up to the reality that their US dollars are not as secure as they have been made to believe.
Gold eagles are quite popular for a variety of reasons among the bullion investors. The coins are very recognizable and therefore easy to sell. Even though a one ounce gold eagle coin usually has a higher premium over spot than some other gold coins, this premium is well worth paying since most dealers will pay you more than spot value for the coin. This is not to say that gold eagles have any numismatic value, just a point I thought I’d mention in case some of you were discouraged in the purchase of these coins because of the premium.
