Breeding Turtles - When Is The Right Time?
If you are planning on breeding your turtles one of the first thins you will want to be aware of is the best time of year to breed them.
Usually, the best time of year for breeding turtles is the end of April and first part of May. This is when most all species of turtles mate.
Turtles will breed in captivity under the right circumstances. They generally will always do better in mating outdoors than they will inside. So, if at all possible have an area for them outside if weather and climate temperature allows. In most cases you can be certain that your turtles will mate.
