There are so many companies taking advantage of consumers nowadays, and they have no remorse for doing so. A friend of friend had furniture damaged during a move. He handled it by the book, was courteous to the moving company employees and claims company. He took photographs of the damage and attempted repair job the mover did on site. He submitted the documentation regarding the price of the damaged item. The moving company then offered to fix it again or pay $50 (the item has a value of $1,000). The stalemate lasted for months. That is, until he contacted a consumer lawyer. The claim was paid within a week.
