The Color of A Pearl
Pearls come in many different colors. This is great as it makes them a great accessorie to any outfit. Of course the most common color is white. However you can get any color in between it and black, including black. Black is probably the second most popular color, and is more commonly known as the Tahitian Pearl. This is because black pearls come from one specific mollusk that is farmed only in Tahiti.
The different colors are created through numerous methods. The most common one is to add an ink or dye during the culturing process. However as we see above the color variations are sometimes natural.
