Pitching wedges are versatile golf clubs

A golfer who uses the pitching wedge has a very versatile golf club. The pitching wedge falls in either the numbered irons or wedges class. The pitching wedge club is more commonly used with a full swing in order to produce high altitude shots when approaching the green, or to lift the ball over trees. Another common use is to lay up in front of a hazard, or to better position the ball for the next shot. The pitching wedge is also good for the embarrassing moment of getting a ball out of the sand. The loft range for pitching wedges can be anywhere from 42 to 49 degrees.
