People love information
You won’t find many people who don’t love information in one form or another. You may find people who are self proclaimed enthusiasts of information and others who say they are not interested in learning new things, they know enough, but even these people seek information, its just a matter of what interests them. To increase targeted traffic to your site you need to use this same concept. Find out what people are interested in and they will come to your page and read what you write. When they read it they may find it so interesting they will tell a friend, then they will click through to the other site, thus driving targeted traffic to it.
