Trujillo, Peru: The City of Eternal Spring
Trujillo, Peru is the third largest city in the country. It is in the northwest part of Peru. The city was founded in 1534 by the Spanish and declared its independence from Spain in 1820. There are different things to see and do in the area. Mansions from the Spanish colonial era can be seen in Trujillo. A wall erected by the Spaniards around the city in the 1600’s is still standing. Several Pre-Columbian ruins are close to the city.Trujillo, which is called the City of Eternal Spring, has good weather all year round. This makes it a pleasant place for outdoor activities. Some of the best surfing in Peru is available on the nearby beaches.
